Formerly the residence of the Herbert Family (the Earls of Pembroke), the Cahernane House Hotel dates back to the 17th-century. The small lobby is flanked by a very comfortable drawing room, made all the more cosy in winter by a roaring fire. Guests can choose between the classical rooms of the original house or the modernity of the garden rooms. Regardless of their age, all the guestrooms are elegantly furnished and many have mountain views. The hotel offers a variety of dining options. The Herbert Room Restaurant epitomizes the style and grandeur of the manor house’s original owners. Alternatively, the Cellar Bar serves not only your favourite tipple but also a delightful bistro style menu from noon to 9.00pm. And opening out to the terrace and lawn for alfresco dining, the Atrium is the place where the original house merges with the new extension.
