    Killarney Airport & Getting Around

    - Kerry Airport -

Kerry Airport is located 14 kilometres north of Killarney. It is serviced by short, direct and inexpensive flights from London Stansted and Frankfurt Hahn. It also receives four flights a day from Dublin. Almost all Ryanair flights connect to Kerry through London Stansted. There is a taxi rank at the airport, and transfer to Killarney costs approximately €15.

    • Trains-

    • The train station is situated in the southeast part of the town centre. There are 4 – 5 trains daily from Dublin with additional links from Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Waterford.

    General Transport

Being a fairly small town, Killarney doesn’t have a local public transportation system; most people just get around on foot. There is a self-guided “Tourist Trail” that can be taken by anyone interested in seeing the local sights. Brochures are available in the tourist office and the tour is guided by signs along the route.

Another way to get around town is by a horse-drawn buggy. The cost of a buggy ride varies depending on how long it lasts, but most of the buggies can seat four people.
